Welcome to The Courthouse Tavern – a historical landmark in the heart of McHenry. In 1838 McHenry County's very first courthouse was built and then moved to our current location on the northwest corner of Riverside Drive and Pearl Street in 1844. In 2022 The Kopley Group had a vision of creating a lively tavern within the original courthouse structure while honoring the memory and history of our building. We take pride in offering a unique and memorable guest experience. Our menu features expertly crafted cocktails and delicious food.
