Natural Coal Grill
Historical Significance
Phoenix says:
YES - YES - YES! This place is exactly why I love doing this. They have a giant natural coal burning grill right in the middle of the restaurant. First and foremost, the entire place smells like steak paradise. Also, there's an awesome patio to dine out and just relax. This place is very cool and literally sits directly across the river from the Historic Black Hawk Statue.
Seriously think for a second on what this statue means. As you come down the Rock River, if you were from a different tribe, the river split and had extremely fertile land on the east side of the bank. This land was fiercely protected by the Black Hawk Tribe and considered sacred as a gift from the deaths of their ancestors. Which means, they would kill to defend it, and defend it they did. Just past the statue, the river would split, which means all trade routes were governed by the Black Hawk Tribe entirely along the valley. The statue represents their massaive presence and success in accomplishing just that.
