Follow Chief Black Hawk as he lead a rebel army to resist the U.S. Army. During this time, Native American Indians were not willing to give up their home. As more settlers moved West, more attrocities occurred. This lead the very Army that Abraham Lincoln was enlisted to fight the rebels to protect our citizens from harm. Early settlers were often murdered and taken prisoner until the President of the United States stepped in to rectify the situation. On this historic adventure, try to put yourself in the shoes of early settlers, when getting fresh water from the river could very well get you killed. End the day at a family friendly restaurant in beautiful old Galena and enjoy more history if you desire. There's plenty to see in the area to spend the rest of the day.
